I was born in a small vi- wait, let's try that again.

About the Webmaster
Call me Casualty. I've been a Metal Gear fan since 2018.
The short version of how I got into the series is that I accidentally fell in love with Revolver Ocelot. The full story is that my obsession with Cad Bane from Star Wars led me into another obsession with spaghetti westerns - Lee Van Cleef's films in particular - and reading he was an influence in Ocelot's conception was all it took. It's no surprise that I've ended up a Skull Face fan in the end, I suppose.
As you can tell I'm a particularly big fan of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - the themes about language and identity are something I've always been interested in, to the point of having an academic background in them, and the overall narrative and ideas the game puts across and the ways it conveys them have always been a source of fascination. You can expect a lot of writings on the subject.
And yes, I am possibly this world's biggest Skull Face fan. There are dozens of us, I swear.
Outside of Metal Gear I'm actually mostly a Nintendo gamer, and as mentioned I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I also have far too many creative hobbies, most of which I end up using to make Metal Gear content in one way or another.
I'm most active on Twitter where I ramble, post art, and do a lot of shitposting. I'm also active on
my main Tumblr which I mostly use for reblogs, and my
art blog, where I also tend to post long form analysis and Skull Face-related findings.
I also post a lot of fanfiction over on AO3.

About the Site
This site was mostly born from my love of collecting and organising things of interest and for future reference, and my need to be actually capable of finding any of them among my many, many bookmarks.
As you can tell by my main site, I'm very nostalgic for the older days of the internet when there were a lot more sites like this, and information was easier to find because it was all in one place rather than spread across multiple sites, wikis and social media accounts. It's easy for resources and links to get lost, so this is just my way of keeping it all together.
Of course, there's far too much Metal Gear content for me to ever collect all of it, so this effort is by no means extensive. But where I can, I'll link to other sites and users on various sites who are worth turning to for things I can't document.
As with my main site, all of this is coded from scratch by me (with the usual help from Stack Overflow and W3Schools). A lot of the visual elements are assets taken directly from the Phantom Pain files, and I want to thank the Metal Gear Wiki for their timeline pages, which were a massive help for the 'Today in Metal Gear History' feature on the homepage. It was a lot to sort through so apologies for any errors!
