my doujinshi collection

i recently started collecting hetalia doujin works, which has felt like a true full circle moment as someone who has always had a ton of respect for and interest in the japanese community around it in the 10+ years i've been a fan. after years of my only exposure being scanlations shared on tumblr or previews on pixiv, it means a lot to get to physically own something from such a fascinating culture of fanwork, with such a long history (many of the ones i own were made before i was even a fan), and often from creatives i have been admiring for as long as i have been a fan.

i currently own 44 hetalia doujinshi, all of which i purchased on suruga-ya. i highly recommend them as a place to track down used doujinshi, everything i've received has been excellent quality and they often have sales on doujin goods in addition to their weekly free shipping offer. i haven't bought from mandarake yet, but their name comes up a lot when searching for doujinshi. there's also toranoana, a dedicated doujin shop, but unfortunately they've blocked access to their site from the UK :(

(as a side note on surugaya, R18 doujinshi don't appear on the international site (except from the one i bought that they apparently missed), but are purchasable through a proxy service that's ok with shipping adult items, such as neokyo!)

here's a list of all the doujinshi i own currently, click on the covers for more information!
