Biography
Personality and traits
Personality
Lissa is a warm and cheerful girl, typically very optimistic and kind to others. While sometimes naïve, she is deeply caring and tries to see the best in every situation. Her idealism is reflected in her love of romance literature and of upbeat video games. She is deeply persistent, and struggles to let go of an issue or let a problem (or a game) get the best of her.
Interests
Video games are her most prominent interest, beginning with her childhood love of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Her favourite games include Sonic Adventure 2, which she considers
a great source of comfort and inspiration. She has a deep love of the characters and lore, and particularly enjoys the Chao raising aspect of the game.
Her favourite characters in the series are Sonic, Blaze, Amy, and Honey. She also enjoys the classic Sonic games and is highly skilled in them.
While predominantly a fan of SEGA consoles and characters, she also has a deep love of Nintendo franchises, particularly Pokémon. Her favourite Pokémon is Mareep and its evolutionary line.
She is also a fan of the Mother series, Animal Crossing and indie games. She has a love-hate relationship with gacha games.
She is a huge fan of all kinds of virtual pet games, partially owed to a childhood raising Tamagotchi and using NeoPets.
She still collects Tamagotchi shells and looks after a pet, and continues to use NeoPets to play games, socialise and look after her pets.
She is particularly proud of her unconverted pets, in addition to rare colours and species, all of which she has spent time and money customising.
She likes to collect plushies, both of specific characters and of other real life or fantasy creatures. She has a collection of figures, mostly of anime and game
characters, as well as some of Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid characters. She has been a fan of Vocaloid for many years, her favourite song being Melt by supercell.
She has dabbled in making UTAU covers, and has been longing to buy an official Vocaloid voice bank.
Lissa has always been a creative person, with her earlier influence being the Sonic games. As a child she devised original characters and even wrote
fanfiction involving her self-insert OC, Lana the Sheep. She has revived the character and still draws her, though she finds most of her early work a source of embarrassment.
Appearance
Regular form
Lissa has medium skin and pale blue eyes. Her hair is naturally a dark brown, but she dyes it a pale blonde. Her hair is medium length, with a fluffy texture and straight bangs. She also wears wide, squarish glasses.
Magical girl form
In her magical girl form, Lissa's hair is tied into two half-ponytails on either side of her head, using Dreamcast controller cables as hair ties.
Her glasses transform into a visor based on the Master System's SegaScope 3D Glasses, which is tinted purple.
Her outfit draws on the colours of the American release of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, featuring pale grey/white and purple accents.
Her top resembles the shape of a Dreamcast controller, with a triangle below the neckline reminiscent of the system's start button.
She also wears a short cape that is a translucent purple, evoking this style of game accessory, such as the N64's atomic purple controller.
She wears a short tutu featuring stripes of the colours red, yellow, green and blue - representing the buttons of a Dreamcast (and other) controllers.
Underneath this is a pair of closely fitting, high-waisted shorts matching the top. She wears an underlayer of black fabric with grid lines on it,
with a gradient from pale to dark purple. This part of the outfit evokes the gridlines and colour scheme of the packaging for the Genesis, in particular
the look of the box for the version sold outside the US, the Mega Drive.
Two large circles matching the rest of the outfit's colour are fixed to her legs, representing the Dreamcast's two main buttons, and she also wears matching
over-the-knee socks. Her outfit includes oversized purple boots, evoking the exaggerated size of footwear in the Sonic franchise. The same influence
is seen in her white gloves, and gold bracelets that represent the series' iconic rings.
Skills and abilities
Regular form
Lissa is a hobby artist and game developer. She uses a drawing tablet and various digital art programs, including Paint Tool Sai and MSPaint.
Her art mostly features her favourite fictional characters, as well as environments and video game accessories. She prefers to use soft, bright (or pastel) colours
and a rough textured brush.
She shares her art online, mostly through her Twitter and is a fairly popular artist. She also dabbles in traditional art, keeping a sketchbook
and participating in art events such as Inktober. She also has ambitions of starting a webcomic in the future: a romance comic featuring her original characters.
She also works on game development in her spare time, having studied the basics through her education and teaching herself other skills through online
tutorials. She got her start in game development through the creation of visual novels, though she maintains that these are poorly made and embarrassing to revisit.
Her current projects include a virtual pet raising simulation game, inspired by the laid-back nature of games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, in addition
to influences from other virtual pet games and modes such as the Sonic Adventure games' Chao Garden.
She speaks intermediate Japanese as a result of independent study; this is motivated by her love of Japanese games, manga and music. As a very organised person, she keeps
a number of notebooks for study, as well as maintaining daily practice with the site Duolingo.

Behind the scenes
Alissa was created on the 30th of August, 2021, which her birth date is a reference to. She was originally devised as part of a different storyline. These original concepts included a story involving mystery and horror elements, and a Deltarune inspired concept involving a group of friends being transported into a roleplaying video game.
